The iPhone 4S is a great device that comes with a new operating system, the IOS5. First unveiled by Steve Jobs back in the summer when he was still CEO, the operating system isn't a surprise. Yet combined with the dual core processor and the A5 chip it means the smartphone will operate much quicker and more effectively that the previous generation, the iPhone 4.
Apps, and the ability to flick between them quickly and with no loss of experience have always been a major attraction to the iPhone. This latest model hopes to make this multi-tasking much smoother and also comes with a range of inbuilt apps designed to create that unique, Apple iPhone experience.

The inbuilt Apps include the new 8 megapixel camera and 1080p HD video. FaceTime, the browser, iMessage along with the email and calendar system aim to build on what customers expect from the iPhone, but just perform a little better.
The 8 megapixel camera reflects Apple catching up with its competitors in the smartphone market, many who have already launched cameras powerful enough to rival the DSLR. The iPhone 4S comes with an improved lens making colour accuracy much better and a new face detection to help define pictures depending on the backdrop. The 1080p video camera is HD and motion blur is reduced with a real-time stabiliser. The Camera app allows the editing and cropping of pictures, which can be uploaded and shared on other devices via the iCloud.
FaceTime launched on the iPhone4 and it returns on the iPhone4S. Controlled either by one tap, or by utilising the virtual assistant, Siri. FaceTime allows face-to-face calls with anyone using an iPhone, iPad 2, Mac or iPod Touch via Wi-Fi.
iMessage is an updated version of the old messaging service. Unlimited and working with any device running an IOS5 it includes group messaging as well as sending pictures, locations, videos and links.
Setting reminders and writing to do lists is either delivered via documents or using Siri who will upload a text reminder on the screen.
Make all kinds of to-do lists for anything you can think of. Then add deadlines and locations. Even set alerts. Or just tell Siri, "Remind me to take out the trash" or "Remind me to pay my phone bill Thursday." And suddenly, everything you have to do seems a lot more doable.
Still using the safari browser, the new Retina Display allows for a crisper and sharper image. Samples have shown how this improves zooming in and screen resolution. The Find My iPhone is easily set up to do just that, locate a lost phone. An individual sign up helps use the Maps function to find the phone, send it a message and erase all data if it is lost. Newsstand helps manage all News and Magazines subscriptions. Social media integration is now easier, with access to Twitter improved and working well for Applications like cameras. Tweeting pictures of family members and friends quickly and easily.
Apple CEO Tim Cook adds, "The iPhone 4S is an evolutionary device that will do no harm in encouraging people to switch to Apple and iOS. New features such as Siri and iOS 5 will help improve the functionality of the iPhone, as well as improve the features that they can offer."
