Pioneer VSX 1021 K Receiver for IOS-Based Devices

Japan-based audio device manufacturer, Pioneer, has recently launched a series of home entertainment receiver, the Pioneer VSX series. This new product is specifically targeted for Apple consumers. The VSX series is compatible only for iOS-based devices, such as the iPhone, iPad, and iPod.

The glossy black Pioneer VSX 1021 K home theater receiver is considered to be the crème de la crème of the Pioneer VSX series. The VSX 1021 K is claimed to be the most state of the art of the series. The 7.1 channel A/V receiver enables you to access and play media (video, music, and podcast) via Apple devices such as iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad. The contents can also be played in Mac and PC via iTunes.

To access the contents, all you need to do is to connect the iOS-based devices to the USB port of the receiver. Just like any other audio products made by Pioneer, the VSX 1021 K produces high quality sound. To display videos or images from your Apple device, you can connect the receiver to a monitor or television via USB or an AS-LAN WL300 wireless adapter (optional).

Pioneer also provides an exclusive app called 'Air Jam', which can be downloaded for free from Apple's App Store. With it, and in conjunction with the use of the VSX 1021 K receiver, you can pair a maximum of 4 Apple devices via Bluetooth to share and create playlists. This feature requires an optional AS-BT200 Bluetooth adapter.

The Pioneer VSX 1021 K receiver is equipped with Audio Multi-Channel Acoustic Calibration (MCACC), not to mention the Dolby ProLogic IIz decoder which enables the user to optimize and configure the speaker for best performance. The Dolby ProLogic IIz decoder also includes the DTS-HD Master Audio and Dolby TrueHD codecs.

With the Pioneer VSX 1021 K, you will also be able to play HD 3D video contents. Meanwhile, the audio formats supported by the receiver are MP3, AAC, and WMA. While other series of Pioneer VSX has only 4 HDMI ports, the VSX 1021 K comes with 5 HDMI hubs: 4 for input and 1 for media output.

The whole package also contains several supporting accessories such as the product manual, a remote control, a microphone, two triple-A batteries, FM Wire Antenna, AM Loop Antenna, AVNavigator software CD-ROM, and a USB/Video cord for your iPad, iPhone, or iPod.
