Gpush is finally available for the iPhone and if you are like most users you're saying to yourself "well its about time". I spent over an hour trying to configure push notifications for gmail on my iPhone when I first got it until I was told by a friend that it wasn't yet available and an app would be out for it soon. Well low and behold, the app is now available and it works great.
Obviously if you get a lot of spam the Gpush will do nothing but annoy you. But if you are like myself and own a business online or get a lot of time sensitive email then this is literally a godsend.
Iphone Application
The old Gmail app would refresh your inbox every hour and not let you know when it has done so. So you basically only get your email when you goto your inbox and check for it. Where is the convenience in that? The Gpush will tell you immediately when you get a new email in a subtle but attention grabbing way (the usual vibration and screen info that iPhone push notifications do).
The app costs 1 jr bacon cheeseburger () and is well worth it for anyone who uses the Gmail app. The app's creators advise that the Gpush icon should be placed about the Gmail icon on your iPhone screen. The app is made by a reliable source, Tiverias, and is sanctioned by Apple in the App Store so you shouldn't have any security qualms with downloading this gem. Now all we need is a push notifying SkyPE and this internet entrepreneur will be one extremely satisfied and informed iPhone user!
