One of the latest phones introduced in the walkman series by Sony Ericssons is the W910i. Many believe that it has the most gimmicky mobile phone features. Sony Ericsson takes the mobile music player to a totally new level. The phone comes with a unique feature called the "shake control" function. The 900 songs stored on the mobile can be navigated with the help of just a flick. Flicking one way or the other will advance or retreat through tracks, while "shaking" the phone will shuffle the tracks. The phone is available in hearty red and noble black.
Design
Iphone Application
This super slim phone is just 12.5 mm thick. At 50mm, it's wider than most new models but the handset makes up for its waistline blowout by being fairly thin (12.5mm) and lightweight (86 grams). The sliding mechanism on the phone is smooth and controlled. The general design of the phone is quite nice. The phone has a 2.4 inch 262K Color screen @ 240Ã-320 pixels. Keys are well-spaced horizontally.
Features
The Sony Ericsson W910i phone can even match the mood with the SensMe feature and will play the right song according to mood and tempo. The built-in motion sensor on the Sony Ericsson W910i has another, more useful Application. Like the iPhone, the handset automatically switches between horizontal and vertical screen orientations depending on how you hold it. In Walkman mode, an elegant Playstation 3-style menu interface lets you browse through media and create playlists, just as you would using a dedicated MP3 player.
In this phone the headphone port is conveniently located on the left hand side and not at top or bottom as in other phones.
The phone has a 2 mega pixel camera. The phone is a quad-band (850/900/1800/1900Mhz) GSM/EDGE with HSDPA. It also includes the PlayNow Application that connects you to Sony BMG's catalogue of music, games, and ringtones for OTA (over the air) downloading.
Battery
The Sony Ericsson W910i phone's battery will last through nine hours of talking and 350 hours when on standby, but talktime drops to 3.5 hours on 3G networks.
