iPad - Changing the Game

Apple for a long time has been talking about the release of a piece of electronic equipment that would completely change the computing world. Apple is famous for building up suspense for a new product release and they have done the same with the iPad.

When rumors were first out about the release of Apples new tablet sized computer there was a lot of speculation about what its name would be. Some popular choices for names were iTablet, iSlate, and the iPad. When I heard about these few names I did some research to see which name was more likely. I quickly noticed that Apples has had the domain name iPad.com registered for a few years now.

The features for the iPad have yet to be set in stone just yet. There has been talk that it will be using a solid state drive and come in different sizes, much like the iPhone. It will be able to run all current iApps that are available on the market. There has been talk about the iPad to be able to use iWork for your mobile computing needs.

The iPad seems like it will be a great computer for people that spend a good portion of their life mobile. It will come intergraded with Wi-Fi capabilities. It will be incredibly light at less than 2 pounds and is half an inch thick. The iPad will probably be more popular amongst teenagers than avid business users.

When Apple released the news of the iPad review they also released the news of the ability for developers to create apps specifically for the iPad. This is sure to stir up some new developers to begin creating new apps for this new Apple product.

The iPad is said to have a lot of the same functionality of the amazon kindle. It will be great for people who want a mobile book reader. Also it will be good for watching videos on the go and listening to music with its 10 hr battery. Some people are even claiming it could change video games forever, but I guess we will just have to wait and see.
