Top 3 iPhone Games of 2009

The iPhone is wonderful piece of technology, and it's opened up a whole new world for developers who can now create apps and games in their bedrooms and distribute them throughout the world. So what were the top 3 iPhone games of 2009?

Doom - If you've ever played a FPS (First Person Shooter) game then you've played a game that was inspired by Doom. Originally launched for the PC in the early 90's, Doom was a game well and truly ahead of its time. It's every bit as terrifying as I remember, and it's surprisingly easy to play on an iPhone.

Space Invaders - Another classic game (this time from 1978) gets an iPhone port and it is every bit as fun to play today as it was back then (proving that they don't make 'em like they used to!) If you've never played Space Invaders you've missed out, so make sure you pick up this iPhone version pronto!

Scramble - Possibly the most addictive game ever released (not just on the iPhone), scramble is a rather unique and simple word game where you are given a set of random letters in a 4x4 or a 5x5 grid and you have to make up as many word (using only these letters) as you can. The rules are that every word you make has to be made from letters in direct contact with each other on the grid. It's a lot simpler than it sounds and a lot more fun to play, too!
